Take care of yourself first. We, your "public," will always be around.

I'm sorry you're dealing with this. POTS is such a frustrating illness. I hope you're able to rest and it helps you feel better

Rest is sacred. I've learned so much from Desiree Stephens' Substack about that. People who push back on anyone's need for rest are lashing out against an unfair system and thus should be ignores. Rest well ❤️

Taking care of yourself is more important that giving content to subscribers. Please treat yourself with kindness and feel better. 😘

My wife has POTS, it is awful and I've seen up close and personal how debilitating it is, where simply getting through the day can be a Herculean task. I commend you for taking steps necessary for you at the time, and my heart goes out to you.

It seems like so many people do! I never knew it was so common until I started talking about it.

Brooke, as others are saying - take care of YOU and that allows you to safely take care of your loved ones. I hope - I'm pretty sure you already know - you matter. To us, your subscribers, to those we share your words with, to more people than you are aware of.

I honestly cannot understand someone taking the resources - time and brain power - to scribble hate notes to you.

I'm blabbering. Thank you for your letter. I look forward to reading your words wherever and whenever they appear. Peace, friend.

Ableism is bad and they should feel bad. So there. You should shamelessly rest. You're a human being. See ya on the flipside.

If I may suggest, from someone in the midst of the struggle as well, I have all my stuff set to free with the option for people to use paid tiers if they want to. I make certain everyone knows they won’t get anything extra for paying and all my updates will be at the behest of my body’s demands so they’ll be sporadic, few and far between. This leaves people the option to support minimal me if they’d still like to but takes all the pressure off me creating paid content. I also set up a KoFi (bare min setup) so people can send me one time donations without an account if they happen to like my stuff. This way you still have an ability to be paid if someone really wants to give you money even if you’re in the rest cycle.

Just some thoughts. 💕 Those aside, gentlest hugs. Learning to rest- not that my body gives me any choice, has been hard. Becoming economical with my energy was an entire learning curve. I wish you every possible comfort.

I have tiers too. But since they are not able to show unless people click the coupon code, Substack doesn’t make it easy. Even with having them it hasn’t stopped several people from questioning me as of late. Thank you. 😔 I’ll look at the KoFi.

Apologies if this posts twice, my net died while I was sending earlier lol. So to get around SS not showing things I changed the footer of my emails to the following: “Thanks for reading. If you enjoyed my stuff please share it with a friend or leave me a comment. If you’d like to further support my antics please consider a one time donation on Ko-Fi (no account needed) or joining one of my paid tiers.” Then where it says paid tiers I link to the tiers page directly.

KoFi is absolutely wonderful, I didn’t do more than connect the account so I could get paid and then nothing else. :) There’s also services like TipJar but KoFi is better known.

Take care of yourself. Do what must be done to keep you on *this* side of the dirt for as long as is comfortable and possible. Your kids need you more than anyone here. ❤️

Rest is healing Brooke! You, and your babies, require it. MS warrior here, I know how reviving a "nap" can be.
