Happy and safe Pride - and I'm commenting, hearting and restocking (what a truly bad term they chose for that) to do my part for engagement.

Haha I agree. I prefer sharing but restack I suppose fits Substack. My computer tries to change it to restock.

The proprietary replacements for liking and sharing are just ridiculous sometimes. "Thanks for reading my BlergleTalk blog! Don't forget to UpBlerg the Blergles, and DoubleTalk to your own BlergSpace!"

Restacking, whatever, they could have chosen something that doesn't trigger autocorrect so much

The Lavender scare was also useful to the government as a tool for blackmail: if being gay has a high cost, they will be very controllable. Hoover used this tactic a lot

Most Intriguing dialogue.

I'm pretty thoroughly straight, but I could read your stories all day.

Let me know when you publish. I'll get a copy.

Happy Pride from an ally!

Thank you, Brooke for another great history lesson (for horndog married basement dwellers). Fortunately, thanks to you, we can benefit, too!

This one was fascinating stuff and, though my reading/research into US history is quite broadcast and deep, this was a chapter I know nothing about. I'm going to have to seek out your sources...

Thank you!
